The old way: a Zap that broke silently, a CSV someone was supposed to run weekly.
'Shopify integration' means a lot of things. Most of them mean Zapier.
PromoTastic connects directly to Shopify -- not a Zap, not a CSV. Products push out. Orders pull in. Vendor data flows from SanMar and S&S on schedule. No middleware. No polling lag. No duct tape.
The integrations problem
Before
Zap breaks. Nobody notices for three days. Orders pile up in Shopify with no status. Vendor prices change. Your store still shows old prices. Someone exports a CSV at the wrong time.
Now
Orders pull from Shopify on a schedule. Vendor prices sync automatically. The apparel-received tag fires when stock arrives. You find out when something needs attention, not three days later.
- Shopify orders sync automatically in real time
- SanMar and S&S live API connections
- Push events to Slack, your ERP, or any system you already use
- SAGE/ASI product research on roadmap
What other integrations miss.
Each one solves a problem you’ve been working around for years.
Your orders are in PromoTastic before you open your laptop.
250 orders overnight? They’re in the system before you pour your first coffee. Most integrations poll one order at a time and take minutes. PromoTastic pulls them all at once. Rate limits are handled automatically. Product data pushes out with variant IDs, metafields, images, and pricing in a single round-trip.
When other tools say “Shopify integration,” they mean 250 sequential API calls. We mean one.
Your vendor data updates on schedule. You never touch the CSV.
SanMar and S&S Activewear sync via direct API connections. Pricing, availability, styles, colors, and sizes update on a schedule you set. Discontinued items raise drift alerts. Price changes raise drift alerts. Resolve with one click or bulk-accept. Trimark and Canada Sportswear are on the roadmap.
API connections mean data updates happen on schedule, automatically, with audit logs. CSV imports are only as current as the last time someone ran the export.
Apparel arrives. Shopify knows automatically.
When apparel is received and all items for a Shopify order are in hand, PromoTastic tags that order with oms:apparel-received. Any Shopify automation built on that tag — customer notification, fulfillment flow, Slack alert — triggers immediately. PromoTastic sends the tag and moves on -- you don’t manage it. Full audit logging included. The tag is additive only; it doesn’t touch existing tags.
Most distributors manually update Shopify notes. This automates the bridge between operations and storefront.
Push events to any system you already use.
Subscribe to events: order status changes, PO receiving, apparel allocation, shipping. Webhook payloads are cryptographically signed so your receiving system knows it came from PromoTastic. Retries up to 3 times automatically. Full delivery log queryable for 30 days. You subscribe to the events you care about and ignore the rest.
Signed webhooks are production-grade. Unsigned webhooks from other tools can be spoofed.
Search the industry catalog without leaving PromoTastic.
SAGE and ASI ESP connections are on the roadmap. When live, search the industry catalog from within your product records. Find a style, click to import, and it lands in your catalog with vendor details, suggested pricing, and decoration specs already populated. Product research and product management in the same tool.
No operational promo platform has native SAGE/ASI search today. This is where the workflow should live.

Questions about Integrations
Vendor feeds (SanMar, S&S Activewear, CSW, Trimark) and SAGE Connect work independently of your storefront. Order management works with manually entered orders or CSV import. Shopify is an add-on, not a requirement.
Your account credentials are stored encrypted at rest. API connections use HTTPS. Vendor credentials are never exposed in logs or error messages.
If a vendor's system goes down, syncs retry automatically on the next scheduled interval. You get a notification if a sync fails repeatedly. Your catalog data is not deleted during an outage.
